Update

August 29th, 2010

After a small absence, I’m back in keeping this blog up-to-date, as much as possible.

During the past month the team hasn’t being performing as they can. In the league we hit rock bottom and can only hope for a play-off spot instead of direct relegation. In the current cups, things aren’t moving better. In the Season’s Cup we lost the group stage over our goal difference.

All we can do, is hope our players will keep developing so we can strike back hard next season!

First U18 Cup ever to be played!

July 27th, 2010

Over the years there have been some fantastic contributors to the game from within the community.

Managers who have developed tools or organised Friendly Leagues that have grown over the years to become a vital part of the Manager Zone community. We have other Managers who became Admins, and have contributed to the growth of the game in many different languages.

To say thank you and in a small way recognise their contribution, we are dedicating the new Under 18 Cups in Hockey and Football to those special Managers. In many countries it has been almost impossible to pick just one person, even with the help of our Admins, so if your own Manager Zone hero isn’t dedicated in the inaugural U18 Cup, look out for them in later editions as this will be a season on season event.

The Manager we are dedicating the U18 National Cup Netherlands – Season 35 to is hotello

Hotello was one of the first non-Swedish assistants and is today, as head MA, our longest serving assistant. He has has been a rich source of knowledge for user from the Dutch but also worldwide community. He has been the initiator for, what today is called Elite Cups , has contributed massively with his always appreciated input. Whenever you need advise, you can be sure hotello has some valid insights.

Rogier not maxed

July 27th, 2010

Soon, Rogier will be send out on a trainings camp, to make sure he will maximise his shooting skills.

This is the results of the training report we received from our shooting trainer, Stef Smibum, on tuesday. According to our trainer, Rogier still has room left for improvement on this vital skill for strikers.

Rogier Hommes keeps improving

July 26th, 2010

At an age of 21, Rogier Hommes is still a big talent that keeps on improving. Today he gained his 7th ball on shooting, will speed and ball control are still unmaxed as well. Let hope he will continue training on speed tomorrow!

National Cup is about to start

July 23rd, 2010

This season’s “National Cup” is about to start again. The group draw was made a few days ago, but this saturday we will play our first match against a Dutch division 3 team. Last season’s cup was no success for the club and with the outgoing transfers and retirements we can only hope for our starting matches to be up against not too dominant opponents just to get some time to strenghten the team a bit more.
